We booked the hotel from internet, trusting the reviews I´ve read. When we arrived was first exciting and then disapointment. We payed for a standard room, but they gave us an upgrade to a canal view room. First, the room was very small, and for small I mean you will have to open the luggage on the bed. Second, the... more

The Toren is nicely located on a canal. I went on hotel.nl and could get a nice single room at 100 eur/night. It worked perfectly for me with parking space in front of the hotel and charming staff that make you feel someone special. Small room but nicely decorated, quiet and perfect for a one night stay. The bed was... more

Very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was amazing for the price charged. The rooms are big and very cosy furnished. The hotel has a very good location nearby the city centre. more

My husband and I went on a European vacation in October and our first stop was Amsterdam. We couldn't not have chosen a better place than The Toren. The location was great, easy to get to by city train and within walking distance from the drop off (and we had heavy bags - no problem). Robert was fabulous. We really... more

The pros: terrific location, helpful & competent staff, comfortable beds & baths, wonderful & extensive breakfast at a reasonable charge. The cons: not my idea of an effective interior decorating job -- all red & black and quite dark -- not for the claustrophobic. I guess it's trendy. Still, the location's so good, and the rooms are perfectly comfortable ...... more

We stayed for several days. First room was a small room in the front, which was noisy, particulary on Saturday night. The next few nights were in a room adjacent to the lovely back garden. This was terrifc. Only problem was keeping the air temperature adjusted. But everything else was 5 star quality, particularly the helpful staff. more

This is a lovely small hotel in a wonderful area of town. Our room albiet small was cozy and romantic. The bed was so comfortable with lovely linens. The nespresso machine with all those delish coffees was a real treat. There was some construction in the neighborhood, and a bit of noise due to a jackhammer, but that is to... more

We went to Amsterdam for a weekend break and it was our amazing luck to find out then that it was the Gay Pride Weekend. After a long research of hotels, we have decided on this one and got a really good deal directly with the hotel. We booked it immediately knowing that the little city will be packed with... more

The good: Super comfy beds and pillows, which was a welcome surprise after our long flight from the states. Pretty rooms. Location was convenient to most of the city attractions yet still felt safe. The not so good: We booked a special rate through the hotel website and got shuttled off into an annex of the hotel about 5 brownstones... more

I travelled to Amsterdam with a friend, and was originally going to stay in budget accommodation. My friend didn't fancy this and searched online and found the Toren. It was worth the extra cost. It's in an excellent location and all the main sights and attractions are really easy to get to, from Anne Franks house to the Red Light... more
