If a hotel is modern, hip funky does that make it a good hotel? Not necessarily. Park Hotel is very modern, but all along you just get a feeling they are trying just a bit too hard. My girlfriend and I stayed at the Park hotel in early Sept 09 and we both agreed it was a really nice and friendly hotel in a top location. The rooms and hallways are clean, the lobby and bar area looks very new and the staff were very welcoming. Our only complaint/dissappointment was the open plan bathroom in the room.... more

The hotel website claims that the rooms are "Designed without interior walls, the open bathroom is truly unique and groundbreaking." In reality the "Superior" rooms are tiny, your bed is within reach of the toilet and the overspill from the shower partially floods the room.
