Seven Bridges Hotel is a 300 year old charming canal house at the beautiful confluence of two canals in the historic heart of Amsterdam. Character and atmosphere are created by individually decorated stylish rooms: precious antiques from Baroque, Louis XVI, Empire, Biedermeier to Art Deco, from Sotheby's and Christie's; oriental carpets on wooden floors; handcrafted marquetry furniture - mirrors, tables, beds by a Dutch artisan. Seven Bridges is a charming canal house. It is in an ideal location away from the touristy areas but within a reasonable walking distance of the tourist attractions such as museums, shopping, and parks. The rooms are well appointed and clean. We stayed in room 8 for 7 nights. It was very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was a delight -... more

I just got back last night from 4 nights at the Seven Bridges - and I simply have to add to the choir praising this absolutely charming place! I had found the hotel on Tripadvisor and was frankly a little bit sceptical - the rave reviews sounding almost too good to be true. But from the first moment all the... more

My husband and myself and our two 20 year old daughters stayed here several nights. What a special place, in the perfect location-on the canal, within walking distance to great restaurants, museums and all the attractions. We stayed in room 5, which was huge and had a large bathroom. My girls stayed in room 7 which overlooked the canal. Breakfast... more

I don't want to repeat what others have said but just to corroborate, it's all true. It's a beautiful house. Breakfast is abundant and delicious and served in your room at the time of your choice. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The staircase is daunting, yes! But it is worth the trip upstairs. It is a different place, not... more

Is the Seven Bridges Hotel really better than the Amstel Hotel? Well...considering that a week's stay at the Seven Bridges is about the cost of one (two at the most) night's stay at the Amstel, the answer is an unequivocal yes! The properties of course are not comparable...One is a budget hotel... priced nearly as low as any in the... more

My husband and I just returned from a 6 night stay at the Seven Bridges Hotel and loved it. We stayed in room in room 10 which is on the top floor and found it cozy and charming and loved all of the sunlight from the skylights. Breakfast was terrific and abundant-- we were very impressed with the effort of... more

My sister, friend and I spent 3 nights at this gorgeous hotel. We stayed in antique-filled room 5, which is quite beautiful and even has it's own little terrace. The hosts were really charming too. The position is great. In fact, so pretty that it was being used for a film location during our stay. We'll definitely be making a... more

Centrally located on the most beautiful canal, The Seven Bridges Hotel is an extraordinary journey back in time with excellent accomodations - large room, good size bath, comfortable bed, elegant antiques, garden patio with historic views. Gunter, the manager, was cheerful, gracious and helpful. He brought fresh croissants and coffee each morning. We highly recommend The Seven Bridges but also... more

Our first trip out of the USA resulted in our staying at the a delightful hotel in Amsterdam. Seven Bridges was very quiet in a busy city. Some mornings the only noise was the birds communicating with each other. We had Canal view #9 and Garden View #3. Please see their website, they are not kidding about the steps. However... more
