The Hotel is located in the city center and 2 mins walking from the Central Train Station, in the nearance there are plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants. I went to Amsterdam with four work collegues at the beginning of Dec and stayed in the Hotel Prins Hendrik. Great location, just opposite to Central Station and very close to all the main attractions. The hotel is just on the edge of the Red Light District but don't let this put you off as it is far enough away...

I was in Holland on business and had to stay in Amsterdam for one night during my travels, i booked this hotel as it was right next to Central train station. My room was quite dated in the decor, but was clean. The staff were very friendly there too.

The hotel was located right next to Amsterdam Central station and was only a 5-minute walk from Dam Square. The staff were polite and very helpful. The inclusive breakfast was very good, both in variety and quantity. The room was very big and comfortable.
A bit noisy. WIFI service is mediocare with connection problems.

The room was noisy almost all night because of its proximity to a noisy street. For a quiet night's sleep and a good location, I recommend a hotel somewhere near the Singel Canal.

It is also very noisy well into the early hours of the morning...

Too expensive for what you get.
Too expensive for people on a tight budget.
Old Dutch houses ? Not even a hint of charm.
