This hotel is located on the edge of the city centre. If you prefer a hotel in a slightly quieter area, then you will like the location. Vondelpark is just around the corner, and there is a nice, busy square where you can eat about 3 minutes walk away. Two trams run to the City Centre from here - the... more

Amsterdam can be a loud and hectic destination. Hotel Aalders is in a prime location and is on a QUIET street. It is walking distance from the Van Gogh museum, Heineken Experience, House of Bols, Park, Shopping Etc... The hotel is family owned and operated. Free wifi and their lobby bar has a television and a computer/printer available for guests... more

Perfect location behind museum quarter (200m), near Leindsplein (300m), near wonderful Vondel park (200m) and also near to the bus and tram station. You can choose either the noisy or the peacefull Amsterdam in a few minutes. (Also you can hire bicycle from 8 Euros and up for longer ways). The area is quiet and calm, the staff helpfull, the... more

Stayed at the Aalders in April over the Queen’s Day holiday and have had a pleasant experience with them. For one, it’s not right smack in the centre of town, but rather in the Museum Quarter which means the surroundings are a lot more quiet and peaceful than if I had chosen to stay in the city area. Except on... more

I stayed at Aalders Hotel with my husband and 2 teenage sons. The staff is friendly and always helped us when we asked for directions. The family room is very big and suited us fine also with a balcony overlooking the main road. The curtains and bedspread are 70s style and need a change. The bathroom is small and has no ventilation... more

Helpful with early morning checkout, taxis and pc for online checking. Family room disappointing , very small bathroom and not that clean. Corridors smelt of boiled cabbage . Breakfast nice room but the... more

This cosy little family-run hotel next to Museumsplein is a delightful find. As a solo traveller one usually has to pay relatively high prices for single rooms, but Aalders' charged a very reasonable 73 e per night in average - with breakfast! Admittedly, the room was quite small but the bed was comfy and the bathroom clean and nice. My... more

It is a very nice small hotel located in a quiet street near the Van Gogh and Rijks musuems, Vondelpark and Leidse Plein. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is also very close to public transport, Albert Cyup market and a supermarket. The staff were happy to give advice on local sights, look up train schedules and answer... more
