We had a very comfortable four night stay at this lovely B&B. Our room had a great view over the canal and it was only a three minute walk to the Koningsplein tram stop which was convenient. The beds were comfortable and the main room was very spacious. Fritz gave us some helpful advice on places to go and see... More

I Iived in Amsterdam for 3 years about 35 years ago and this B & B is the real deal. The location is just perfect, the breakfast very complete and Loes was extremely helpful in his suggestions regarding restaurants, parking and general travel info. Yes, there were a couple of mosquitoes occasionally, but nothing disturbing. Really a nice place.

The hosts, room and breakfast were great. The location was good and central to all. The entrance is a bit misleading. It was cold and sterile, not like the rooms upstairs or dining area. Our bedroom was very roomy and the bed was cozy. Lots of interesting fashion paraphernalia on the walls that I meant to ask about as they... More

We spent 2 nights at this lovely house which is in a central but quiet part of the city. In summary, a comfortable room, great breakfast, charming hosts and a very reasonable price. We felt quite spoiled. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a short break for 2 adults looking for a peaceful base.

We had a great room for a nominal price right in the middle of everything. You can walk or bike to the train station. Nightlife and people watching are the best. The hosts were helpful and the breakfast was ample with good conversation and advice.

My wife and I stayed at this B&B in Amsterdam for 3 nights May 28-30, 2012. This was our first trip to Amsterdam and you don't know a neighborhood in a city you have never been in - especially one so different from anyplace else in the world. In retrospect, we think this is the best location in the city.... More

My husband and I recently spent 9 days in Loes' and Frit's charming bed and breakfast. The location is perfect! We had a large, comfortable room. The bedroom and bathroom, as well as closets and drawers were all so well kept and clean. The breakfasts were just what we needed each morning to start our busy day. Loes and Frits... More

Very old building with a nice room. We were on the second floor, good because the buliding is tall and the stairs steep. Our room overlooked the patio area, very nice. Mosquitos were somewhat of an annoyance but not a big problem. Room was large and nicely furnished with it's own bathroom. Nicely located in the central part of the... More

We stayed for four nights, using Amsterdam as our home-base for sight-seeing. The hotel is in a very old home, located along a historic canal. It was a great location! It was central to many sights and restaurants. The trams to Amsterdam Central Station drop-off and pick-up very close to the hotel (only about 2 blocks away.) Each morning we... More

I actually stayed here in October of 2009. Although the climb to the room was long and the stairway narrow , once reached was one of the nicest rooms i've stayed anywhere. Right on the prettiest blocks in the city on a canal and clase to every attraction in the city. The hosts Fritz and Loes, along with Peter, Loes... More
