The security and location are good but this hostel lacks character and there is no common areas to hang out. It's about as basic as you can get. more

This hotel is ideally situated if you wish to explore cultural amsterdam with the museumplein close at hand, there is a tram stop right accross the road which is also good as it's only a few tramstops to centrum. The location is quite handy. I stayed here in Spring 08; nice location but building work next door meant closure of restaurant. Initially booked into a room that turned out not to have been made up. The room was tiny even for Amsterdam standards. It was not really a hotel as advertised, but more a hostel. The beds were bunked and there was not enough room to un-bunk them so my husband had to sleep on one and I on another. Our room did have a small balcony but the people we traveled with did not.... more
