The staff were great, very friendly and really helpful. constantly seen staff cleanning there way throughout the hostle. Stayed there for 3 nights and wouldn't dare to take a shower while I stayed there. Ok sure...the property may be old, probably had some historic floods affect it, but it is dusty and some humidity stink in it that made it intolerable. If you're young and doing Europe on a budget then this is the place for you. We found the staff to be hospitable but the place dark and dingy for our liking mind you I'm in my 30's and have got use to the quality of hotels in NZ. more

If you don't mind sharing a bedroom, you're relaxed and easy going there is nowhere better to stay in the world. It's ridiculously cheap, hassle free and a really good vibe. It's close to the Grasshopper pub/coffee shop & the red lights and the main square is only 2 minutes the other way. Lots more to see and do outside... more

Had a great stay. It was a bit on the pricier side for European hostels. Rooms were nice and clean. Hostel staff was helpful. Computers were not functioning well. The bar was certainly the happening place. Packed and nosiy until at least 2AM. I enjoyed it but it may not be for everyone. A lot of US folks around college... more
