Last weekend I stayed in Seven one Seven ,in Amsterdam with my wife,to cellebrate our wedding anniversary. We were staying int the Tolkien suite which is romantic and warm decorated ,like the whole hotel. We had a great time, the atmosphere is great, like staying with a relative, kind staff and high service. We enjoyed breakfast in the Patio ,all the dvd“s and... more

My partner and i stayed at this hotel over the Easter period. The hotel is lovely, very unique and situated right in the heart of Amsterdam with a fabualus address. We stayed in the 'Shubert' suite at the front of the building and was very fine in every way, beautifull room overlooking the Prinsingrahct.... The staff were all very helpfull... more

i stayed in the mahler room for two nights. the room was ok, however the double bed was comprised of two single mattresses which joined in the middle and was pretty uncomfortable. also, it was noisy. the room is above what sounded like tumble dryers which were on at around 9.30pm one night. i was woken very early in the... more

We stayed in the picasso suite at the front site of the hotel with a really nice vieuw true the canals. The most surpricing... more

Choosing a hotel for a city break can be difficult.Book the wrong property in terms of location, size, features or ambience and your enjoyment of the city itself can be detrimentally affected. This is particularly true of Amsterdam because parts of it are frankly seedy and unlike cities like Paris or Rome its attractiveness is not immediately apparent. We first visited Amsterdam seven... more

This was our 4th time staying at 717. Each previous time the rooms were superb, the service gracious, the location great, and we left wondering what more could you want from a small hotel/B&B? We wonder no more. We booked the room at the Top, which has a window facing the canal. It's a steep climb up the stairs, but... more

We would like to let you know that the offending club has been permanently closed due the noise complaints that were made about it. The building across the canal is currently unoccupied and we will closely monitor any furture development plans to ensure our guests' comfort.

We just returned from a 3 night stay at Hotel Seven One Seven. We arrived early (8:30 am) from a 7 hour overnight flight from the U.S. We did not expect our room to be ready, so we asked to leave our bags and said we would go out for breakfast. They said we could have breakfast there. We went... more

We stayed in Shakespeare on the 1st floor and it is an enormous and gorgeous room with sumptuous fabrics and and a really a comfy sofa. Also a rather fancy B&O TV which impressed him very much!!... more

We recently went to 717 and were wowed by the charm and design of it. The restoration of this old building/house was fantastic and the decorating. Like another person said, a welcome change from the sleek minimalist look of so many hotels trying to be so cool. We stayed in the Tolkein room which was as pretty as it seemed... more

I have no problems spending money on a good hotel. The price is far less important than the value I receive for what I pay. Seven one seven is a pretty hotel, well-located and discreet. I stayed there for 2 nights last weekend with my boyfriend and after a day of sight-seeing in cold and snowy weather, it felt very... more
