Good news is that they keep on high standards. The downsides: the breakfast menu doesn't change, would be great if they can amend it slightly depending on their guests wishes. This entire stay at 717 was fantastic. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and situated right in the heart of Amsterdam. Breakfast every morning was a great way to start the day.

Deco is excellent. Beds are super comfy. Couch are comfy as well. Caviar/ wine/ champagne menu is good. Toilet spacious. Location, the best. Service could use some boosting. Breakfast spread as well. An expensive hotel, for the higher end crowd. But worth every penny.

We stayed in the Picasso suite, and could not believe our luck. The suite occupies the whole canal-frontage of the hotel, on the second floor, and is huge, with mammoth sofas! A delightful, comfortable small hotel with attractive and elegant furnishings. Recommendations and suggestions given by Receptionists were very helpful and made our visit even more enjoyable. Excellent position and easy to get around.

My partner and I love this hotel . It is stylish, elegant, refined and just lovely. As are the staff. Other reviewers have described this as feeling like a gracious private home - and that is a perfect description.
