We stayed 4 nts, rate was 70 euros for a double however, we moved from our closet sized room to a triple next door when the bath drain clogged up. the triple was GREAT! about 3x the size of the double, i highly r recommend a triple, we had a small balcony and it was very bright with the big... more

I stayed at the Hotel Impala from 2 nights Fri 28th and Sat 29th March with two friends all of us female. The only good point about this hotel is that the bed covers were clean. We stayed in a quad room on the top floor. Yes the stairs are pretty steep but that is standard in Amsterdam. Apart from... more

I booked Hotel Impala for me and three friends over easter weekend. The cheap rate and great location seemed perfect. THEN I saw the reviews.... and foolishly decided to ignore them as we knew we were staying in a cheap, in effect - backbacker's hotel and wasn't expecting the Ritz. We arrived at about 09:30... we had to ring the... more

Everything in this Hotel was extremely mucky: the floor cover, the key of the room didn't work, the windows were dirty and broken, the bed sheets had strange stains like the towels in the bathroom and the room walls!!! Moreover, when we had breakfast in the morning no one were there to help us and nothing was ready to be... more

Several rooms have nice views. Most do not. The small rooms were dark and dirty when we got there and stayed dirty during our stay. It is an old small dirty 1 star hotel with some potential to maybe be more. There were days without maid service because the maids had been fired for stealing. The rooms were not cleaned... more

For your own benefit please heed this warning........DO NOT BOOK AT THE IMPALA, unless that is you actually wish to stay in the filthiest and most overpriced hotel imaginable. We arrived at the the Impala having booked a standard room for 2 nights at 170 euro. A fairly cheap price agreed, but nothing could have prepared us for the standard... more

The hotel Impala is a good base for any party goer or sightseer to this beautiful city. I stayed in this hotel 3 times in the last 2 years. The hotel could do with a lick of paint and a better breakfast offering but the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff by far make up for this. The best rooms... more

Having read some of the reviews on this site we came to this hotel with some reservations, but we had a reservation and went. It is a fantastic location, the view from our room, which is at at T-junction of two canals, is fantastic. Open those windows and enjoy the sensory experience, the view, the sounds of the various boats... more

We had reservations well before our trip. The first thing that happened when we arrived to check in to the Hotel Impala was that they charged each of us with an additional 20 Euros. They claimed that was something all hotels do but we weren’t told about that in advance. In addition, the room wasn’t ready. They did let us... more
