My girlfriend and I had the big double-bed room; very spacious. The bedding was pretty old and musty, though clean enough, but the place absolutely STANK of cigarette smoke, I suppose from the owner. Also, we were there in winter, and the heating was very insufficient; I woke up too cold every morning and developed a cough. The breakfast items... More

The name says it all. This great little find really is something Between Art and Kitsch. My partner and I wanted to celebrate his big 50 in one of Europe's coolest hubs. We decided to bypass the usually stuffy and staid and settled for this gem in the heart of the Pjip. We couldn't have been happier. Our wonderful landlady... More

Great location and good sized room, nice ensuite that looked fairly new. Room had TV and fridge and good views. Owner helpful but wasnt expecting us even though we had booked. Room and house was constantly smelling of fag reak, not nice, self service breakfast quirky but only good if you like cold meat and bread, never any cereals, never... More

Between Art & Kitsch is a real gem of a B&B. The decor of our room was beautiful, funky and pretty unique, overlooking the canal and like a real little apartment in itself. The bed was ridiculously comfy, the shower had great water pressure, and the room proved a great place to crash after a busy day's walking and exploring.... More

We liked so much the hostel! beautiful room, clean, optimal location (near to tram and a bike rental) and so kind people in there, they speak perfect english and have two wonderful cats. Don't have wifi but a computer with internet completely free. Maybe too many stairs.. like all houses in Amsterdam More

Between Art & Kitsch is a great property very conveniently located near the city (you can walk it). We were two friends who stayed in the art deco room which has a fantastic view of the Rijksmuseum. We'll never forget having bread, cheese, salami and coffee for breakfast in the room by the window looking out at picturesque Amsterdam! It's... More

We spent this month of August 2011 with our daughter, seven days and seven nights at the B&B Between Arts and Kitsch of Irene. We spent seven glorious days. Irene, the owner (who speaks French!), Is always welcoming and attentive, The breakfast is plentiful, varied, renewed regularly with 3, 4 kinds of bread, cheese, eggs, meats, jams, teas ... a... Stayed here for two nights on a last minute holiday and definately struck lucky with this B and B! Room was uber kitsch (think tulip bed spreads) but with modern bathroom and a great shower. Irene is great, really helpful with advice on where to go/what to do. Our flight on the way out didn't leave until the late evening... More

Once in Amsterdam, the best way to get the amsterdameer feeling is staying over an amsterdameer place and Between Art and Kitsch is the place: Irena is really nice and her tips are the best. In the heart of a nice amsterdameer neighbourhood, we can come and go easily, and local restaurants and bars are cool and nearby. I love... More
