location-hotel shuttle to central station within minutes; open view. Housekeeping inconsistent quality. Understaffed especially in restaurant and front desk during peak hours. Broadband speed quite slow. Executive Lounge very private. Room amenities sufficient. Complimentary Nespresso and good selection of teas make the room welcoming. more

This hotel includes itself with other hotels claiming to be part of the 'city center.' Technically it may be. However, this particular hotel is a bit remote (on the fringe of the City Center). It is reasonalbe close to the main train station. A 15 minute walk. Mostly unprotected from weather. There is a hotel shuttle that runs every 30... more

This was as expected a neat and a clean hotel with everything functioning punctually. Moevenpick is a Swiss-owned chain - even though this one is in Netherlands. The rooms were very clean, concierge (especially Daniel) was very helpful. The only nitpick is that the service at the restaurant was very slow - the food was excellent! more

We had a 4 day stay at the Moevenpick Amsterdam during a trip across western Europe. The hotel was the best hotel we stayed at and the best price (Through Priceline) Service was friendly, the room was cleaned daily. Shuttle Service was convenient. There is a tram stop across the street that will take you to central station. Otherwise its... more

There's a lot to be said for efficiency and this was efficient. The views were fantastic. I recommend that you ask for a room facing back towards the city as its more interesting. It's good that you can open the window even though it's airconditioned . The crucial thing is that it is some way to walk from the main... more

From the beginning to the end of our stay the staff was the most professional, helpful, and courteous. We arrived well before check in and the the gentleman at the front desk was checking availability prior to us exiting the taxi. Thankfully, we were able to check in and get some rest. The front desk was a very good map... more

I stayed here for 5 days and a friend of mine stayed for another 6. We both had the same room with a great view of the harbor!! I thought that the walk would be tiring but it was quite pleasant. The staff accommodated all my requests and I'll make this my hotel of choice next time in A'dam!! The... more

In the small Spa there were spacious Sauna `s but i prefer turkish baths so I did not use the spa. Altough it is not in the middle of Amsterdam... more

I have been to Amsterdam several times and was thoroughly impressed by the Movenpick. I bid through Priceline as well and got a fantastic deal. Like many others, I was initially worried that the location of the hotel would mean that most of Amsterdam's sights would be outof convenient reach, but not at all. Convenient walk, one tram stop from... more

This was our first trip to Amsterdam, and I am glad we were slightly removed from the city center. Getting into the historic old part of town is very easy. It is one tram stop, a 15 minute walk, a bike, or the hotel's shuttle service. Prior to the trip, we looked at several hotels in the city center. We... more
