The room appeared clean but smelled. Since my room was in the basement and had a mildewy odor, I can only surmise of unfortunate flooding occurred. It did eventually go away w/ the window open. Or I just got use to it. Small room but served it's purpose. The price was more than advertised at the time. Mixed on recommending... more

I ordered a single room, and got a room with twin beds in the 4th floor. Room was really clean and nice, with new carpet and shining bathroom. Spacious enough, even if not huge. On a sunny day the room becomes too hot (a fan would have helped, but was not available). A DND sign could have also helped, as... more

This was out 3rd visit to Amsterdam and we found this hotel was in a very good location, the staff helpful, good breakfast, hotel clean. Negative side if you stay in room 103 it is very noisy you are by the stairs which are wooden so you hear people coming in and out at night, there is no sound insulation... more

Good location and close to everything you could possibly wish to see and do. Hotel room was extremely small to say the least and walls very thin, however as a place to rest your head it served it's purpose. Big plus was that it was extremely clean which made up for size. Hotel staff friendly and helpful though the receptionist... more

Having read other reviewers comments on this site we were not sure what to expect, but overall I tend to agree with what many have said. The hotel is in an ideal location, close to tram stops 1,2, and 5, and within a short walk of the numerous restaurants on the leidseplein. On arrival, the staff were welcoming, and gave... more

I think for the price alone.... the room was more than acceptable even though we were underground. Personally i feel this added to the experience... more

This hotel is in a great location, just a couple blocks from Light Square, but that's about the only plus. We were given a room in the basement that was very tomb-like. We couldn't tell if it was day or night. Two of the three nights of our stay, we were rudely awakened by the fire alarm going off repeatedly,... more

Having read some of the 'good' reveiws, I'm not sure we're talking about the same hotel!! Our room was on the 3rd floor, with a fan (from reception) going constantly, window wide open and radiator off, the temperature was nearly 30 degrees. Someone mentioned the fan in the bathroom - what fan?? Room was so small the only way we... more
