My room was bad enough, really hot and no opening window. There were fans however, which was useful to disperse the disgusting smell that came from the toilet out into the corridor. We stayed here in late Sept 2009 and it seemed like a really nice, cheap place to stay....until we woke up at 4am to discover bed bugs crawling all over the walls and in the sheets. Basic but very clean and tidy, service was fine, not overly friendly or helpful but fine. Really good breakfasts too. Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed. I would recommend this hostel. more

Just back from Amsterdam. I chose a dormitory room to save money and it was ok. Shared with 7 other people. I was a bit surprised (not unpleasantly) to find it was mixed sex. Stay away from this hotel if you're not a backpacker between 18-22 years! This is not a nice low budget hotel, this is a youth hostel and it is called a stopover not hotel. We checked out after 2 hours because we needed a hotel not a dirty, smelly room with a bunk bed. more

Looks nice on the photo's but is basically a backpackers hostel. Our first room was so small we had to put our suitcases in the bathroom, no wardrobe or cupboards in the room. Bed was dirty and we asked for it to be changed...no problem was sorted. Big TV and desk but that was it, you could just about walk... more
