the hotel is modern, well located and well connected. we asked to change our bed linen because we found it dirty and the staff told us that they could do it but they never did it.(we staied there 3 days only because we already paid ). breakfast very very expensive for the same money you can have a dinner in... more

The location is really good as everyone else has pointed out. The room was clean, a little small but overall no complaints about it. However, we were placed in the side of the hotel that doesn't have an elevator, so careful if you have a lot of baggage because it can be a nightmare. The staff was nice and efficient.... more

Me and my partner choose this hotel because of its close proximity to the rijks museam and leidseplein and because it was a Best Western we thought it would be a better standard. The hotel room we stayed in was small and basic. I would have liked to have tea and coffee aming facilities, especially as we had opted not... more

The only positive for this hotel was it’s location- it is very close to the Rijksmuseum- but that doesn’t make up for it’s extortionate price (€220 for the first night and €100 for the second….even though the website showed €110 for a superior room) and poor quality. A few of the issues: The hotel is undergoing renovation, which I wasn’t... more

This review is short & sweet. Hotel & staff Functional. Bar Service Good. Nice Bar Area. Here with 7 older lads for Birthday weekend & one of us running in Marathon(which goes past Hotel). I feel if we hadnt had such a good time(great City Amsterdam) we would have noticed the shortcomings more! Basically 100 euros per night twin room.Tiny... more

Heres a review in short... tiny room, funny smell( old wunderbaum) and in the end we got ripped off when had to pay 150euros in fee, for smokers room on departure, even though we order smokersroom and prepaid for the room. "True spirit of local hospitallity" Jimmy (norway) more

Location was excellent - our room was the size of my office at work. Shockingly small. We offered a double bed or two twins - that was unexpected at a Best Western. The bathroom was the size of a boat water closet. You hit your elbows on the walls at the sink and there was barely room to turn around... more

20 Sep 2009 | Trip type: Family

We travelled to Amsterdam with an extended Family. The ages in our group ranged from a 4 year old to an 80 year old. We booked 2 rooms online and paid the "advertised rate". The pictures shown online were really nice. When we got to the hotel, we were given 2 rooms which were completely different than shown online. The... more

The hotel room itself was nice but my main gripe is that on one day our room didn't get cleaned. True we were in room a fair bit but there were several hours when we were out, and had hung the "please make up our room" sign. The only response was to hang a bag with some clean towels in it... more
