Stayed there during the tulip festival so I think the rates where higher than normal at that time. The room was nice, clean, quite small. Bathroom also nice and clean, pretty new, but also quite small. Staff were friendly. Breakfast area was good as was the included breakfast. Terrible, We thought we stayed their for a nice weekend trip in Haarlem. The hotel was a big disapointment. I booked here for a business trip because I couldn't get another hotel. But the Lion d'Or was a nice surprise. We stayed here for a weekend in March. We were in room 16, which was big, comfortable, and clean. An extra bed was brought in for our two-year-old, and it still felt spacious. We were quite happy with our stay at this hotel. The room was the smallest we had in our entire trip, but it was clean, and they provided a very nice breakfast. The location is perfect, just steps from the train station. Considering the special rate for 80 Euros/ night we got online, the room was a good value. more
