Such a lovely hotel in Almelo. Stayed there during the MAFF weekend (Media art flow festival, which is also highly recommended) and had a lovely time. A great location and a special experience. It is strange, but in a nice way, very comforting despite having a room made out of several ex-real prison cells.

This really is a unique hotel; a former prison, this decadent establishment is fit to bursting with plush, expensive fixtures and fittings. A sort of comfortable gothic experience, everything here is decked out in purple, black, white and silver. Beautiful and strange, a received the warmest welcome ever from the owners. Highly recommended.

Not often that one willingly elects to stay in a "prison". This one however, I did not want to leave as it was a truly fantastic experience. The original feature abound and it was a truly memorable evening. I will definitely be back and this time bring my wife to enjoy the experience.
