This hotel had great character, the reception was welcoming always very helpful, and in a billiant location in Delft. There was an apology in the room saying that the hotel is about to be demolished to make way for the train track, and apologised for the decor, which was not really necessary, but interesting. The room was clean, well serviced... more

This hotel seemed, on paper, like a good idea. However, it was the worst decision we made. After struggling up the steep stairs with our suitcases (as the management watched on) we ended up in a pokey little room with an awful drainage stench coming from the bathroom that, in itself, looked like something out of the WW2! We later... more

Let's start with the good things. The hotel it's ideally located to visit the beautifull center of Delft. It has a cheaper parking (6 euros/day) compared to the normal Dutch parking costs. The hotel people are really friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet is quite good. There is a nice bar where you can drink something, chat with friends... more

We also had a room on the train side and if we were not regular ear-plug-wearers I'm sure the noise would have been an issue, but it was ok. The breakfast is exceptional. There's a great long buffet table with all sorts of things for any taste. The staff really cares about their establishment, from what I could tell. I... more

To start in a positive manner, the staff are friendly, the breakfast is good, and there is free internet access at the bar. However, while my colleagues were lucky enough to stay in rooms facing the canal I was stuck in room 11 for 2 nights. Apart from needing refurbishment and a new mattress this room faced the railway situated... more

My husband and I stayed at this hotel with a group of friends very recently. Although the hotel is quite old and the rooms need refurbishing, I found the staff and the breakfast to be above average. The internet was fast and free. Calls to the US were very reasonable. The owner has told us that the hotel will be... more

I called this hotel on the recommendation of a conference hosted by the university at Delft. The hotel took my email address and said they would send me a confirmation. They never sent the confirmation email. They booked the wrong date. Then they charged me for no-show. My host at the university in Delft repeatedly called them to try to... more

My 6 yr old son and I stayed here for 2 nights, on 31 May and 1 June, 2006. This hotel is very close to the train station, and the only negative thing about it, is the trains run fairly close behind it, so it can be noisy. But it is only a short walk to the centre of town.... more

I'm a hard marker, so this will not be a rave review, but I recommend the Kok to anyone. The Kok is nothing spectacular, but it is a nice, picturesque, clean, friendly, well-located hotel. If you overnight in Amsterdam, consider coming here instead. Delft is only a 30-40 minute train ride from Schipol, and the Kok is about 3 minutes... more

This hotel is next to the railway station in Delft. This is handy but is also its main problem - noise. My spacious well-appointed room rattled to the noise of passing trains every 6 minutes! Apart from that the hotel is immaculate, great breakfast, friendly staff, good spacious lounge and bar, good prices (except I also had the problem of... more
