Uninspiring from the outside but comfortable and quite stylish inside, the Bilderberg is definitely marketing itself at the business traveller, with modern decor that stops just short of being pretentious. This place is for a few days only. On booking the staff should have mentioned that they had no "comfort rooms" on a high floor. This is what i requested. The Bilderberg Europa Hotel is partly refurbished, so you could get a good deal, but chances are equal you end up in an less then average room. Did not see any evidence of the 'refurbishment' mentioned by a previous reviewer. Very small claustrophobic room, low ceiling, poor lighting. No air-conditioning, heating was turned off, but room still too warm, fortunately there was a 'balcony window' which allowed some ventilation!
