I have been to the beautiful, elegant and vivacious european city of Antwerp many times and I have tried several hotels, but the closest place to a friend's house is the newly rennovated bed&breakfast Louiza15. Located just a few blocks from the heart of the city and yet in a very quiet area, this old house has been recently refurbished with an exquisite taste that merges the modern with a tinge of classic décor. A nice surprice was the breakfast room on the top floor of the house, where a gorgeous veranda brightens the morning and invites you outside on a sunny day. Breakfast is superb: fresh bread and pastry from a top local bakery, accompanied by an assortment of cheese and ham, as well as good jams, or eggs if you prefer. Of course, the famous speculose and chocholates are accompaniments. This small B&B has only two rooms, which actually makes it cosy.
