We stayed for 3 nights while enjoying the city in December. We were in room 612, penthouse. Room is very large for European standards, lots and lots of windows and yet very quiet. French balconies all around and great access to roof top terrace in summertime. Recommend getting room 612! The bed is heavenly, the fireplace a wonderful plus. The... more

This was only for an overnight stay. I am from NY and thought this hotel looked like something out the Soho area. Staff was friendly. Rooms were small and clean, the lighting was a bit strange, but the bed was quite comfortable and the shower was great! Location was good. All in all a good experience. more

This hotel is excellent value given its very central location: others in the area are more expensive. It is very modern/trendy - if you like a cosy hotel it's probably not for you. The beds are fantastically comfortable! However, I recommend taking ear-plugs as the floors are parquet wood and you can hear people walking around above you. I had... more

Once we arrived at the hotel the receptionist couldn't find our booking. So we used this opportunity to get a nice upgrade and asked for a room with a seperate bath. Once we entered the room we didn't know what to say. Really small room with a bath even smaller. It is absolutely impossible to use the bath for 2... more

This is my story: I booked this hotel through the klm sites because it had gotten good reviews. Also it was quite cheap. NEGATIVE: - The reception closes at 8pm, so after that you are on your own. This means that if you check in after 8pm you are in trouble, which is what happened to me. However, the hotel... more

Well it started with a bed... This hotel had the oppurtunity to try out the new Auping superbox. So that's why we booked this hotel. And indeed... we slept.. and slept .. and slept.. Mainly because we arrived much too late at night but the (Dutch) owners invited us at their home to hand us over the entrancecards! How nice!... more

Fantastic location. This ultra modern hotel is friendly and helpful. Stark modern rooms with big windows. Very comfortable beds and good showers. The breakfast is also good. One drawback is the absence of WIFI in the rooms. more

The Banks hotel is in the centre of the old town, but that positive is tarnished by the actual hotel experience. While I was there my hotel room was infested with mosquito's. When I complained to the hotelier, her and her husband got agressive and accused me of an alteria motive. I asked to check out as I was in... more

Newly opened hotel with a strong style twist. Rooms take some getting used to - polished concrete floors and ceilings give the impression of being in a cell. So, not luxury in the sense of thick carpets, fabrics etc; more, hard, modern, minimalist, stylish - will probably date fast. Fantastic bedding, very comfortable. Room arrangement still needs some thinking through... more

Great little hotel. Stylish, Modern & premium/quality feel. Quite a fun & unusual/striking interior on ground floor reception/breakfast area/Cafe. Nice little outdoor courtyard to sit & have a coffee. Owners have obviously not done this 'on-the-cheap' & also clearly thought it all through very well [which is suprisingly uncommon]. Only been open 3 weeks when we got there, rooms not... more
