I understand that most of the critiques in this site were from a few years ago under a different name and management (hotel ambassador, and now it is Ambassador flats), and I am happy I did not read them when booking, because it does seem like a completely different place now, and it is so good that I had to... more

I just stayed at this hotel for one night (thank god just one night). Well when I entered the room, I thought it was a joke, the carpet was SOOOOOOOOOOO dirty, you know the kind of carpet where you think they had barbecue grilling on the carpet (black marks and hole sin the carpet) just AWFULL. All the rooms at... more

It's nice when you enter the lobby but the hotel is really small and the rooms smelly. The corridors smelled of cigarettes and the shower in our room was broken. more

We were booked into the "4* Ambassador Hotel" by a tour company, advising us we'd been "upgraded" from our original 3 star hotel. As some other contributors have said - this is most definately nowhere near the standards of a 4 star hotel. We arrived at 5am and by 11am we had left and checked into the Hilton. Why? We... more

We stayed here over the May Bank holiday weekend as part of a large group. Unfortunately due to travel delays did not arrive until 5.00am in the morning having left the UK at 4.00pm the previous day. Upon our arrival the hotel were unable to allocate our rooms as the computer system had crashed the receptionist who looked totally bored... more

Don't be fooled by the three star entrance and reception - as soon as you get out of the lift it all becomes two star and less! The hallway was dirty and untidy, the room was smelly and there was old rubbish on top of the cupboard. Apart from that the hotel is far away from everything, we hardly saw... more

After a 6 hour drive from Germany with wife and two children of 2 years and 2 months respectively we arrived at the Ambassador Hotel. The reason for staying was that it was advertised as 4 star and that it had triple rooms with small kitchenette attached so we could prepare hot meals for our two year old and be... more

6 of us just stayed in this hotel (Nov '04) and it is not a 4 star hotel. Upon arriving the smell of cigarettes to meet you at the reception is horrible. Although the lobby was nice the rooms were no where near it. The rooms are very spacious with fab furniture, but the carpets are filty with burns and... more

Was very hesitant to stay at this hotel after reading Tripadvisor. Arrived with car and was helped with parking in cellar. Room was newly decorated and most important - quite large. It had a small kitchen unit and double glazing kept out the noise of the busy street outside. Breakfast was of buffet type and quite substantial. Lobby was not... more

A party of us, 45 in total were unfortunate enough to spend two nights in the Ambassador Flat Hotel in Antwerp recently. Advertised on the internet as a 4 star hotel it would be very difficult to grade it as 3 star. The rooms, although advertised with hairdriers and minbars, had neither, the bathrooms had a showerhead wrapped around the... more
