My adult daughter and I stayed for 3 nights in a room with full bathroom for 76 Euros per night. Room was comfortable, quiet, warm and well-lit which is frequently not true of European hotels. Breakfast was good. Staff very accommodating. Hotel was once the home of a cardinal in the Catholic church and the public rooms reflect a somewhat... more

If you have any interest in leaving the historic city center of this incredible city -- which you should -- then the Rubenshof is in a fine location, not as far out as some reviews indicate. It's a good base for exploring cafes, shops, museums. The breakfast room is indeed lovely, and the breakfast is adequate, but generally the hotel... more

My husband and I stopped here for one night on our way to Brussels. We just wanted to check out Antwerp and didn't want to spend much. It was 69 Euros for a room with private bath (most of their rooms do not have a bathroom). While I agree with other reviewers the building is cool, definitely has character, the... more

Stayed there for one night, and was quite satisfied. Very large room was provided for single use for only 50 euro, and this price also included breakfast. Staff is very friendly, interior is nice, rooms are clean - what else can be expected for that price. I would stay there again if I need budget accomodation. Some small disadvantages -... more

For value for money we loved the Hotel Rubenshof. We stayed here for one night and payed approx 30 euro and got a sweet little room looking over the roof tops which included breakfast (traditional rolls, meat, cheese, eggs) in the most beautiful dining room. Bathrooms are seperate and out in the hall but we think there were few people... more

I'm torn between rating this place between 3 and 4, and would have given it 3.5, if possible. I paid 44 Eur for a single ensuite, which was probably good value for what I got, a basic room on the ground floor. Both the bathroom and the room itself were adequately clean, if a little tired. Nothing to write home... more

Single rooms (with shared bath) are very basic and small (think dorm room). Staff managed to lose my reservation, so it was lucky they still had rooms available when I called to confirm. The directions using the tram on their web site did not seem correct; I ended up walking from the train station and it was quite far. My... more

I had a single room (no. 17) without toilet or shower, for which I paid 29 euros per night. I stayed two nights. The room was quite small, and would have been too small for two persons, in my opinion. (Apparently, the room is used either as a single or double room.) The bathroom and shower were one flight of... more

As a single traveler this was a great choice for me! It is a beautiful hotel with much charm. It is safe and very centrally located. It is steps away from the tram system. There is an internet cafe around the corner and a supermarket less than a 10 minute walk. It is a 10 minute ride by tram to... more

I was in Antwerp for 36 hours, so two nights at the Rubenshof. For 29 Euros, I got a small single room (which is fine - I don't travel to spend my time in hotel rooms!), a shared shower on the landing above (I never saw anybody else trying to use it, even though the hotel was full), and a... more
