I stayed at Hotel du Congres for one night on business and found it barely adequate. I can’t understand the positive reviews and can only assume that the quality of the rooms varies a lot. I stayed in room 208, which was reached via a lift and several very awkwardly placed steps – dangerous if you aren't careful, and certainly... more

This hotel was good for a short break stay - pleasant, clean and comfortable. The location is fine - not completely central, but within easy walking distance of the centre and all the quieter for being slightly out of it. Quite a few choices of places to eat nearby. Room on the front a bit noisy for sensitive sleepers, but... more

Room was small, never saw that bads can't stay on own place but slide on the floor. In the morning was near half a metre distance between both, although in the night they stood near. Bathroom was pretty nice. The thing I liked the most was breakfast, really big choice and tasty. We were lucky to get there for half... more

Spent 2 nights and had a pleasant stay. My friend and I each had a single room, hers appeared to have been refurbished, mine had not except for the bathroom, and my only complaint about the room was the lack of shelves and drawers, but then for a short stay it didn't matter much anyway. The breakfast was good with... more

The pros: Dirt cheap through the tourist booking office in the main square - about 60 Euro a night for a weeknight. Free internet. Free breakfast. Nice lobby. The cons: Apparently, if you get the cheap deal, you get the tiny room, have to drag your suitcase up some VERY steep stairs that smell of several cats. Frankly, wouldn't stay... more

The hotel is situated in a rather quiet part of Brussels in an old and typical building consisting of actually two houses. It takes you about 15 minutes to walk to the spectacular city centre (no direct public transport there). Other sights are also easily accessible as many are in walking distance. International clientele, often business or university people, but... more

We stay there for one night. We paid 115 euro for a double room, which we found a little expensive for what we had. The shower had a problem. The TV did not work very well. more

Booked this on booking.com stayed one night for 40 euros the other night for 50 euros. The rooms are extremely small but the single bed is comfy and good if you just want to crash somewhere. I did after a long flight from Canada... The breakfast was included and was good but basic. Great value though overall for 40 Euros.... more

Extremely basic... that's the positive way to look at it! Tatty small rooms, basic breakfast.... that's the realistic view! Oh come on, it was just plain awful! Now, I know it is not easy to find average hotels in Brussels; but let's be serious: would you pay EUR 120 for the pleasure? Well don't! And I certainly won't be fooled... more
