We recently spent two nights at the Hotel Dominican in Brussels to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Before we chose it we read countless glowing reviews about the place and I felt confident that we had picked a winner. I had read somewhere that the rooms were built around a central courtyard in what had once been a monestary. This courtyard... more

Arrived on Friday evening to a very pretty boutique hotel, which is only 5 minutes walk from nearest metro. Lovely rooms, most comfortable beds ever, fluffy pillows and even stylish comfy slippers to take home. Opened the windows and could hear the opera singers rehearsing from opposite side. The staff are helpful and very nice. Everything is clean and they... more

We stayed here for 3 nights with friends during the jazz festival. The hotel is modern and very beautifully decorated. The rooms are a decent size well furnished with lovely bathrooms and an excellent shower . The hotel was a quiet oasis in a very busy city yet close to all the sights and jazz events. The staff were perfectly... more

We chose this hotel over a number of others after a lot of research and were not disappointed at all. As soon as we arrived the furnishings and feel of the place suggested quality and style and the whole ambience was one of relaxation and comfort. Staff were helpful, courteous and friendly at all times and there always seemed to... more

Spent a lovely weekend here. Clean, fresh ambience. Booked via hotel connect on TripAdvisor to get an inclusive rate with breakfast (otherwise €27 each, which I wouldn't pay!). Beautifully designed rooms, very quiet (backing onto interior courtyard), thoughtful touches like own Nespresso machine in rooms and a brilliant location 5 minutes from Grand Place and 10 from Central Station. Only... more

Relocated to this hotel. Much more expensive than the previous hotel, but quality to match price. Service missed the mark a little with the glasses and cups sometimes short on servicing of the room. Handy to transport with de Brouckere metro station nearby. more

Perfect hotel just off Grand Place. Right across from the opera house. We heard some of the performers practicing before their show... delightful. Rooms were clean and modern. Lobby and bar were sleek and well appointed. Great location, short walk to town center and all the stops on our itinerary. I would definitely stay here again if traveling with the... more

I don't know who writes the guidelines for the five-star rating system, but this hotel cannot have earned a fifth one. For starters, the room was smaller than a standard room in an urban hotel, and it was not perfectly clean. For example, there was stuff in the carpets and one of the bed pillows had I-don't-know-what-it-was on it. In... more

I have stayed here twice on Tripadvisor recommendations, and can confirm the superlative reviews. The hotel is located very centrally (a short walk from Brussels Central station, if you can follow the misleading map at the exit) in a quiet side street; bedroom views are nondescript but this reflects their back location. The ambience is quite out of the ordinary:... more

My husband and I couldn't stop congratulating ourselves on booking the Dominican sight unseen. This hotel had it all. It was beautiful in a sleek, modern way, yet also retained distinct allusions to its interesting history. The staff were helpful and the room was spacious and well designed. The bathroom was very cool-looking, though the shower did leak quite a... more
