We booked with L'Europe by email, and that worked satisfactorily - we were expected when we arrived. There is no car park with the hotel, you simply park in the public spaces in front of the hotel.

The hotel is located directly on the Grand Place in Tournai, so is an excellent location from which to explore the town. We arrived at about 4pm and the front door was locked. There was no clear instruction about what to do about this but, after pushing various buttons, someone appeared from an adjacent cafe and let us in. There really should be clearer instructions about this.

The hotel comprises bedrooms only - there are no reception rooms, although there is an attached bistro-type place (where they serve breakfast). The reception itself is located in a cubby-hole under the stairs. There is no lift service to the accommodation floors, which number 3. Our room, which I imagine was typical, was of reasonable size but very plain - basic, really. But, it was clean and tidy... more
