We stayed in Château de la Poste for one night in 2010. We were in the region for a wedding and we were looking for an alternative option and occasionnaly discovered this lovely Château...Our room vas a real Chateau room, very big, with a wonderful landscape, we had a walk in the garden or forest of the Chateau, even picked... Lovely grounds in a beautiful area of Belgium despite odd access to tennis grounds and condemned building near orangerie. Rooms boasting being redecorated by Marie so and so... Marie doesn't like shelves in bathrooms ( keep your toothbrush by your bed instead folks...) and the door knobs are so close to the edge of the door that I grazed the... More

The chateau is beautiful, well maintained with attention to detail. The grounds around are welcoming for a walk. The layout functional, with fireplaces in the winter and many terraces in the summer. The rooms vary and could benefit from more attention: bathrobes, slippers and toiletries beyond soap (no conditioner, body balm provided!!) would not be out of place. Breakfast expensive... More

Nice fire inside and outside in the evening, a buffet in the evening and in the morning with endless choice. Several cosy corners to chat. The rooms are all remodeled, and the loft cube (search for pictures) is an memorable experience! One advice: make sture you've got the time to enjoy the fantastic environment and to relax!

Customer focus is non existent at this hotel. Arrived to be informed restaurant was closed. The nearest towns are some distance away. Enquiried about taxis to be informed that this was a virtual impossibility to organise. We tried to cancel the booking but they were going to take the full fee - thanks to the intervention of Booking.com this was... More

On a recent trip to Luxembourg, I decided to make a short detour to visit a "design place, out in the country" which, in a near future, could be a nice weekend-destination, very close to home. Given the exceptionally poor weather (the near-freezing spring temperatures), my desire to discover, first-hand, the hotel combined with the prospect of an espresso, I... More

Im not one for writing reviews, but felt inclined to write something after my visit to Chateau de la Poste. This castle is situated in a beautiful part of Belgium, and the castle itself is very tastefully decorated. However, that is where the good things end. Unfortunately the rude staff (an experience also shared by friends who were there) made... More

Difficult to write a review on this hotel. As it is a quite unusual mix of 'things' and a review as such depends on what you are looking for. 1. the chateau was a former 'holiday - resort' for the employees of the Belgian Post (after King Leopold II's daughter Clementine moved out). As such the current owners still see... More

The chateau is really great; a very pleasant building (a chateau as a chateau was meant to be). The redesign of the hotel was done very well. We loved the colouring of the room and the (eco) deerhead. But the staff was not really warm of interested. The surroundings were beautiful although the weather was pour.

We went to this hotel for a romantic weekend and ended up with a big disappointment. Upon our arrival, the lady at the desk could not find our reservation. After a long search she did found it under a different name but with our address ?... As a surprise for my husband I had arranged a massage. When I asked... More
