I spent 3 days in Ghent (which is in itself a wonderful city with many friendly, helpful people). I chose Cour St. George because of location and the availability of wireless internet. Those were as advertised. BUT .... 1. The air-conditioning doesn't work, no matter what they claim. Your choices are to keep the windows closed and suffocate, or open... more

well, just returned from the worst weekend break in my life thanks to this wonderful venue. We booked a "Prestige" room for over £100/night which was supposed to be the best one they had apart from suites. The room faced a brick wall with a huge vent right outside making loads of noise. All the walls were splattered with something... more

First off all the location of the hotel is perfect, right next to the City Hall in the centre of Gent. Our room on the first floor was spacious, as was the bathroom. Our view wasn't that great and the room was hot every time we got back in the evening, could use some ventilation. Major concern was the fact... more

This hotel is terrible! My first room was on the ground floor. The temperature was at least 30°C degrees and the air condition did not work (it was only ventilation, but no cold air came into the room). Moreover, there was only one window which gave you a great view into the storeroom! So no fresh air at all! As... more

My Husband and I picked this hotel as it was central for our weekend stay in Ghent. Our initial impressions were good until the shower tray would not drain away and my feet were bathing in a swimming pool. The room was big enough though again no tea making facilities that would have been nice. I explained the problem to... more

I booked four months in advance and even confirmed my reservation two weeks upfront just to make sure. Still 2 days before my stay they were suddenly overbooked. after i decided to help them out and move to other hotel they agreed to pay the extra costs (eg.taxi) and give me a voucher. for me it wasn't about the money... more

The location of the hotel is ideal, right in the centre next to the Stadhuis. We were up in the attic, with interesting views over the rooftops, but it would not suit anyone who doesn't like climbing stairs! Amenities were good (though no tea and coffee making facilities), bathroom clean (but mind your head on the beams!). Staff were friendly... more

This hotel was not what you would expect. We had a room in the attic, no lift! The carpet was wall to wall stains and marks. Yuk. We stood in reception half an hour waiting to check in, after a long tiring drive it was not funny. more

The Good Perfect location right in the city centre. Wonderful historic building Fabulous painted wall panels & plaster ceiling in the breakfast room The Bad Spectacularly rude & inefficient receptionist greeted us on arrival. To be fair subsequent staff that we met were very pleasant Room (from their cheapest category) was very small & the bathroom miniscule - anyone much... more
