The gentleman at the front desk was very unfriendly and rude. The room was not very cleanly and the shower didn't drain. The price was fairly inexpensive and the location was good. It's up to you to decide what is most important to you when traveling. I prefer friendly service and a clean room. more

The hotel is located approx 5 mins walk from main square. The surrounding area has a few bars and restaurants. Noise late evening was a disadvantage (when bars close). Very close to the centre of Brugges - we found the staff friendly and helpful and the room clean, comfortable and warm - a fairly quiet area but not too far from the numerous restaurants - a pleasant bar and breakfast room - the buffet breakfast was excellent - I would reccomend it. more

I've stayed at the Hans Memling several times because the location is excellent. However if you have a bedroom adjacent to Kuiperstraat then expect to be kept awake by the clientele from the local bars in the wee hours of the morning.
