Looked for a reasonable place to stay with a canalside location and stumbled upon Ter Reien. Stayed for 2 nights and couldn't fault the place. Friendly staff who spoke English and were happy to provide us with a map showing where we could leave the car. Room was spacious and very clean - worth paying that little bit extra for... More

We stayed for 2 nights. I'd splurge on the canal view as it really makes a difference during your stay. Everyone was friendly and the rooms were extremely clean. Breakfast was more American but still great. More

Booked Ter Reien based on decent reviews and a reasonable price. Silly me............ The location is decent, about 300 yds from the Berg and 400 from the main square. Small hotel run by a husband and wife (owners?) but unfortunately, they run it as if it were a chore instead of concentrating on any type of customer service. Husband seemed... More

Nothing outstanding, but price to match. Great location. Nice staff. Reasonable breakfast. Exactly what I wanted. No room to swing a cat in the bathroom, so leave your cat at home. Use this place to sleep and explore Bruges. In that respect it was spot on. More

Stayed 2 nights at the end of November. The Christmas market was good fun. Bruges is stunning at any time of year and the hotel is perfect for sightseeing. Good breakfast too. More

Excellent in all respects. Spent last weekend there. Yes the toilet/shower is the cubicble type, but so what? Clean and compact, did not intend to spend weekend in it! Underground secure parking nearby. 17E for 2 days. Friendly bar next door and a small shop just down the street. Good buffet breakfast with good choice. Would stay again. More

The hotel is located close to the center of town, directly on a picturesque canal. The rooms are large and clean. My only complaint would be the toilet which is extremely small and has one step up. It really does not fit the room and appears to be an afterthought! However, the location is perfect as well as the ample... More

Just back from a fabulous weekend in Bruges with my husband and son, staying in Room 210 at Hotel Ter Reien. We found the receptionist helpful and pleasant, she welcomed us, and talked us through the hotel's map of Bruges, pointed out attractions, public transport etc and explained how we could get discounts for some activities. Room 210 is a... More

I would love to give Hotel ter Reien a 5* star TA rating, as the location, exterior of the building, customer service and breakfast were all excellent. However, our room was very basic, with two lamps that did not work and an electrical socket dangerously dangling from the wall below the television. The bathroom - as previously mentioned by so...
