My husband and I stayed here three nights in May. When we arrived, Hans gave us information about Bruges that was quite helpful. Our room was upstairs, and there is no elevator - but we packed light! The room was nice with a wood floor, small refrigerator (mini-bar stocked full), and pretty wooden wardrobe for a closet. The room we... more

This should never be advertised as a hotel as it has no facilities other than breakfast no tea and coffee making and breakfast was sparse to say the least. We arrived to a building site, very noisy till late evening, garden shabby, view from room was tatty to say the least. No screw in lock on door. Room very clean... more

This guesthouse is about a kilometer outside historic Bruges, in a suburb without restaurants or stores, and too far away to walk into town. Bicycles are advertised as included in the price, but we had to insist before the owner finally let us use them. The bed in the room, and bathroom were new, and the view was reasonable, but... more

Our stay at the Gasthof Groenhove was excellent. Everything you would want in a B&B is found here: very nice family room (with Christmas tree, too), clean, quiet, a lovely conservatory to eat breakfast in, a friendly and charming host, etc. It's all there. Highly recommended. On our next trip to Brugge, we'll be staying here again. more

My husband and I and our 3 children have just returned from staying at Gasthof Groenhove. The hotel is small and friendly. The hotel room was a good size and very clean. A lovely sized double bed. Hans and Angelina are very good hosts and provide you with lots of information about the local area. It takes approximately 20 minutes... more

Informative welcome from owner, Hans. Our attic room was clean, spacious and comfortable with mini-bar and even Christmas tree - a nice touch! Floor was linoleum which spoiled the overall charm a bit. Carpet would have been nicer and quieter, no doubt. Unfortunately, we had a family staying across from us and they were extremely noisy so sleeping in was... more

We have just returned from our recent trip to Brugge. We stayed in this beautiful charming hotel. The bedrooms are simply furnished and spotlessly clean. Hans and Angelina our hosts are very welcoming and explained the geography of Brugge and advised us on the interesting places to visit as well as recommending very nice restaurants. We had a lovely breakfast... more

We spent 3 nights at this small, charming hotel. As stated in previous reviews it's about a 20 minute walk to the town centre, or you can use their bicycles which are a popular mode of transport in Brugge. The atmosphere is friendly, the hotel and it's furnishings are charming with loads of character. The rooms are comfortable but smallish... more

Hans was very helpful in giving us an overview of sites, restaurants, discount coupons, and maps. The Gasthof was very comfortable, clean, and charming. Hans had a table ready for us each morning, set for 5. The bedroom for five was spacious and enjoyed by the entire family. The outside garden created a relaxing atmosphere, as did the front lobby.... more

Excellent guest house about 20mins walk or a short bus ride from Brugge centre. You couldn't wish for better hosts, Hans and Angelina. Rooms are not plush but well furnished and very clean. There is a very pleasant large front garden where weather permitting you can eat breakfast. This was our second stay here and we will definitely stay again... more
