Had 1 night in the Lybeer, well when i say 1 night it was literally 7 hours of which 6 and a half were spent sleeping in a very cold damp room on the top floor, that said it served a purpose as a cheap option to get my head down after a very heavy day downing the lovely belgian... More

The single room was like a prison cell, the heating in the room did not work so it was around 10 degrees celsius inside, there was a renovation going on.. Needless to say, it was awful, even for the money( it was cheap). Given that the staff was nice and helpful, it is a real shame. More

Was 3rd visit to Bruges (2004&08) love the City and people. Stayed at Lybeer 15/17-10-10, yes it is tatty to say the least BUT great staff and atmosphere. Location could not be better and very afordable x have booked Lybeer again for November. More

Staff; friendly and knowledgable Accommodation; dirty, old, unmaintained, unloved, smelly and mouldy. Overall.....Stay here if you have no appreciation of the very basics of travelling! eg clean sheets, clean mattress and hot running water. Outside and in, you get a distinctly Flemish feel about the place. There is a tight winding staircase, which feels very old school.
