We have just returned from a short 3 night break to Bruge over the Bank Holiday weekend staying in the Hotel de Castillion and we can honestly say it was one of the best short breaks we have been on for variety of things to see both in the city and out of it with a fantastic bike touring route... more

Not the hotel I had planned for the trip, but came recommended. Location is fantastic, close to Beguinhof and the Dijver, room was clean and nicely decorated. Check in and check out was a bit slow. Breakfast was very good. more

My husband and I stayed one night in De Castillion Hotel in Brugge. We had made reservations at the Hotel Het Gheestelic Hof but were transferred over to the (nicer) Castillion. The hotel has a lovely entranceway with a place to sit and have a drink and what looked to be like a top notch restaurant in the front. The... more

If, like us, you want a hotel that’s comfortable enough to relax in between outings, in an old building, centrally placed but not frighteningly expensive then there are dozens to choose from in Bruges. Two things narrowed it down to the Castillion for us. First, oddly enough, was breakfast. Many hotels in Bruges charge EU20 for breakfast, so for a... more

On arrival in Bruges, we could only get a hotel for one night, Hotel De Goezput, so found hotel de castillion to book for the next night's stay. They also own a hotel across the street, which is a bit cheaper, but had no rooms available. So the guy on reception, found us a room in Hotel De Castillion for... more

I booked a room on the day of arrival but missed my train due to a medical emergency. Explained it to them on the phone and tried to either get a refund or rebook for the next day but they were unyielding and charged me for the room anyway. A little bit of human understanding of the situation would be... more

180 euros for a small room, with 1980's decor, in need of a lick of paint (breakfast and car parking extra)? We could hear the guests above us, beside us and in the hall and on the stairs. The throw on the bed was dirty, there was a rubber sheet under the bedsheet which made a crinkling noise whenever we... more

We stayed at the Hotel De Castillion during Thanksgiving weekend. The location was fantastic, couldn't have been more in the centre of town but was suprisingly quiet despite the central location. Upon entering, guests are greeted to a very warm, exquisitely furnished foyer with many antiques and rich colors. The smile from the manager at the front desk only adds... more

We stayed at the Hotel De Castillion in central Brugge over the first weekend in December. The location was just enough off of the main shopping street to be quiet and peaceful, but it was still very convenient to the downtown shops and restaurants as well as the most picturesque section of the canals, Onze Lieve Vrouwekirche, and the Hans... more
