This hotel blew us away - the most elegant, classy and sophisticated hotel we've stayed in. Our room was huge and stylish, with an amazing en-suite bath & shower room. Quirky features throughout the hotel really set it apart from equivalent chain hotels. The location is central, but not noisy, with lots of restaurants/nightlife nearby and walkable from the train... more
This is just a fantastic place to stay. The service is excellent, very friendly & helpful. The rooms are very trendy & well appointed. The proprietor gave us advise & map of where to go, what to see, and even offered us umbrellas in case it rained. He was so friendly. The waitress on duty at breakfast was an absolute delight.... more
What a fantastic boutique hotel!! It was a wonderful retreat for a relaxing, pampering city break. My partner and I went to Bruges for a Valentines Holiday, and when mentioned to the manager he upgraded us into a suite. It was lovely - the service was friendly and helpful (with lots of local knowledge - especially on where to eat... more
I stayed here with 2 family members during a trip to Bruges in December. Overall I was highly impressed with the place. Yves at the front desk was kind enough to offer advice on attractions, dining and drink options, and gave us a thorough tour of the hotel and our room. He booked a table for us at one of... more
Relais Ravenstein made for an overall pleasant stay. A bit off the beaten path (not a bad thing), it offered fresh design (public areas and bedroom), great tea room, and decent, well-rehearsed introduction to the city by the staff. Location-wise, it took 10 minutes to walk to the market place, around which most of the restaurants are located. As for... more
This is a small hotel with less then 20 rooms which means the staff can look after your really well. As we had got the ferry over we arrived at the hotel 5 or so hours before we could check in. The manager was excellent and let us leave our bags and he then took out a city map and... more
For a quiet place to stay in the historic center of Bruges this is the place to be. You will appreciate at arrival a very friendly and professionnal welcome: the Manager will indicate you all interesting places to see and to visit in Bruges. He has a full bunch of anecdotes and good ideas for your stay ..... then he... more
I would have given the hotel 3 and a half stars if this was possible - as this hotel has helpful staff, is very stylish in all public areas, well situated, well priced (on current deal with Expedia - breakfast excepted) but I think that we must have stayed in the same room as one of the reviewers in May... more
We have just returned from a four day holiday in Bruges staying at the Relais Ravestein. This hotel is one of the best hotels we have stayed at in Europe. We usually always book into the normal "chain of hotels" i.e. Hilton, Radisson etc but this time on doing some research into hotels in Bruges we decided to stay in... more
