Our whole party were really pleased with the quality of the hotel that we stayed in over the weekend. The rooms were spotlessly clean and very roomy abd comfortable. We had a very pleasant stay in this central hotel. The room was airy and clean, the bed was comfortable, there was a decent sized bathroom and a fridge was in the room in case you wanted to keep a few items chilled. This hotel seems set up to cater to package tour groups rather than single travelers. I agree with many of the other comments: it is centrally located, it is relatively modern, the rooms are minimally furnished but spotlessly clean, most of the staff are friendly, and the restaurant is badly over-priced. I stayed one night Friday 31st July 2009, with a history group studying the area from WW1. This Novotel has been refurbished to a high standard, since I last stayed here, in my view a four star establishment, with a nice bar area. Bright airy room, flatscreen tv, tea/coffee making facilities, spacious bathroom, comfortable large bed, but an expensive mini-bar.... more

We booked with RailBookers, Eurostar to Brussels and then train to Ypres. Eurostar upgrade to first class is well worth the money, excellent service. We stayed at the Novotel, Ypres for 5 nights in August 2009. From check-in to check-out the staff were helpful and polite. As we have two teenagers, we upgraded our room. It only cost an additional 15 euros per night and we had masses of space. The TV in the room receives both BBC1 & 2. Down stairs in reception... more

we stayed one night here with friends on a weekend trip and found the hotel easily, even though it was in the middle of the town, although there was a mix up with our booking the staff were wonderful and our rooms were enormous and clean. Breakfast was excellent and I would recommend this hotel to anyone. more
