Excellent place to stay if visiting leper.Stayed here two nights with my son and two mates while touring the ww1 memorials on motorcycles. The rooms at the B&B where spotless and could not fault in anyway. Our group of four retired firefighter returned to the Hortensia having discovered it 3 years earlier. It is an excellent base from which to explore. Véronique, who speaks perfect English and Michaël provided the same warm welcome that we had remembered. The Hortensia was in a great location near to all we wanted to visit, good clean rooms and excellent breakfast. Easy free parking near by and Michael and Veronique very helpful. Highly recommended by myself and my two sons and we wouldn`t hesitate to stay here again.

If staying in Ieper I can highly recommend the Hortensia guest house. The room was spotless, the breakfast was excellent and our hosts Michael and Veronique were wonderful. We are looking forward to our next stay at the Hortensia in July.

From the outset, Veronique was a great hostess. She spent considerable time, over coffee and cake, giving us useful tourist information about WW1 sites, etc. Our room and bathroom were both a good size and we didn't hear any church bells! She also suggested free parking places very close by as the spaces opposite are metered. The breakfast was good... More
