I have just spent a fantastic few days at Ter Thuyne whilst visiting Ieper to watch my son and the Army Cadets parade at the Menin Gate during Armistice week. Martine is a wonderful host and has a beautiful home set in the heart of Ieper. The rooms are very comfortable and excellent VFM, and Martine prepares a continental breakfast... More

I live in Flanders myself (about a hundred miles from Ieper), but I’ve been visiting the Westhoek a couple of times a year for a dozen years now. I’ve stayed in hotels here and there and stayed at most of the b&b’s in Ieper. In Ter Thuyne, I am a regular since first I stayed there, not long after it... More

Just returned from a visit to Ieper for the Rememberance services and Battlefield tours and can thoroughly recommend Ter Thuyne. Martine is an exceptional hostess and the house is great; large airy rooms that are spotlessly clean and with very comfortable beds together with a large and filling continental breakfast plus the little extras of bottles of water and chocolates... This is a must stay in Ieper. Its host Martine is very welcoming, friendly and her treats are delightful. She is very knowledgable and a fantastic host. Breakfast is lovely. When we had an early train Martine packed us lunch instead of breakfast. The laundrymat across the road is handy. Ieper is full of WW1 history and delightful chocolate and... More

We were very pleased with Martine's B and B - and it is a great location for visiting the WW1 battlefields, The house is about 300 yds from the Cloth hall where there are many eating places. Her rooms are very good and clean and there are lots of nice little touches beyond the normal requirements- the breakfast buffet was... More

Stayed here 10 and 11 June with 6 family members and we all absolutely loved it. If you want a very comfortable B&B in a beautiful house, reasonably priced, a warm welcome, a plentiful continental breakfast, comfortable beds and spotlessly clean rooms then this is the place for you. And then there are Martine's lovely touches like water and chocolates/cakes... More

Just returned from 3 day stay in Ypres. Ter Thuyne was an excellent choice, just a few hundred yards from the main square, Cloth Hall (In Flanders Fields Museum) and Menin Gate. Rooms are large, comfortable and very clean, with very clean bathrooms (we had a twin en-suite and single with shared facilities Martine is a very friendly host and... More

Martine is probably the the best B& B hostess we have met and we have met a few! She thought of our every need. Her fresh clean room and extensive breakfasts were a delight. Little gifts sweetened our stay and her final present of a traditional Ypres cat is treasured. Ypres (Ieper) is also a most interesting town to stay... More
