Everything about this place is very unique, including, yes the drive up to the castle, with hair-spin twists and turns, but that is all part of the breathless experience that you won't forget. What a beautiful place this is! The room was comfortable and lovely. We loved the hotel and town. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Driving there up the hill was a little confusing and hairy at times, but definitely worth it. more

We stayed 3 days in this Pousada last December and had a pleasant vacation. It has a beautiful location and scenery on the top of the hill, inside the castle. Pousada’s interiors, corridors and rooms looked like a museum (paints, pottery, tapestries) and we felt like returning to its ancient days.
