Residencial Riviera is in the perfect spot to explore Evora in any direction. The rooms are spacious and up to date, though, with touches of the old to bring them character. The staff was very helpful, bailing us out of a situation where we were driving up a pedestrian only street. I believe there are only 4 parking spots at... more

Evora is a beautiful, historic town - definitely worth visiting. This place is very central and in a good location. Parking can be difficult as there are many one way, narrow streets and private residents spaces so make sure you reserve a space with the hotel in advance (at a cost!). The rooms here are simple but clean. The main... more

The location is great. The rooms were clean, but sparse. They spray the pillow cases with some sort of sent that is not bad, but sent my allergies into overtime. The place was pretty empty while we were there, but it could get loud when full. We had a room facing the back. If sound is an issue, you would... more

The rooms are sober and compact but spotless, charmful (historic features) and complete. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. It is located in the historic centre of Evora with lots of shops and restaurants. It is a bit difficult to reach with the car (narrow streets) but with a gps this not a problem. The hotel has a couple... more

The great advantage of this hotel is the location: two steps away from the DIANA temple and the GIRALDO SQUARE, right in the center of EVORA. It is located in an old building, very well taken care of. The rooms are very simple, with nothing special, and my bathroom was some kind of small (only a shower, not even a... more

The declining dollar has sent us to the next tier down in accomodation, and I was uncertain what we would find in a "residencial," remembering sub-par pensiones from student days run by scarry cabbage-sented matrons screaming at their nephews. I was delighted with our room, which was clean, quiet, and had resonable sheets and towels, as well as a safe... more

Before getting to the hotel review there are some absolute dont miss sights leading to Evora. The area is loaded with megaliths and other stone formations- some of most spectacular and best kept in the world. Among these, the Cromeleque dos Almendres is a fantastic example of standing stone astronomy. All of these primitive areas are well labled, easily accessable,... more

After reading plenty of reviews on the internet and much searching, i finally decided on residencial riviera for myelf and girlfriend to stay at and have to say we were not disappointed. The hotel is right in the centre of the beautiful Evora and everywhere is within easy walking distance. Unlike other reviews on here, unfortunately i was unable to... more

Make sure you spend a little extra for the privileged parking spot deep inside the beautiful old part of the city, under huge shady trees beneath a centuries-old cathedral. Then you can wheel your luggage a few meters down the crooked cobblestone street to this clean, well apportioned hotel in the best location in town among the shops and restaurants.... more

Residencial Riviera is one of the nicest hostals I've ever stayed at in either Portugal or Spain. The room is nicely furnished, clean and a decent size. It had a minibar and a television with English speaking channels. I had a room overlooking the pedestrian street and with the windows closed, there was not much noise. The breakfast was good... more
