We have stayed at the Villa Olympic in Acoteias on two separate occassions and have to say that the accomodation was absolutely brilliant, three bedrooms and three bathrooms with one en suite. Excellent swimming pool and 'honesty' bar for all residents.

The Villas are exceptionally clean and if there are any problems the day manager is on site at all times and actually live there as well which tells you something about how good it is. They are within 5 minutes walk of all the amenities ie shops, bars and restaurants. It is a 30 minute walk to the beach but very pleasant and not too much hard work.

Taxis are not easy to come by but the Villa will arrange to take you to most local destinations for a small charge and will pick you up as well. This includes the evenings if you want to travel to either Albufeira or Villamoura. They also do the airport run if required.

The only downside maybe from 2005 they have reduced the size of the Villas which inmy opinion is... more
