It's such a shame. Albufeira and the entire Algarve are gorgeous, but this hotel is a ghastly, run-down, overpriced dump that is miles from any beach. The wailing karaoke will keep you awake half the night, and the garbage trucks and supply vehicles will keep you awake the other half. the swimming pools have no chlorine in them dogs drink the water reception staff rude and unfriendly had to buy toilet rolls no towels all week the balcony had on sun apartment was filthy how can people recommend this dump all i can say is do not go more

Before i went i read some really horrible reviews and was really worried. They were right about not being able to get a room untill 3pm, which when we got there at 9am was pretty bad but i would advise you to pack your swiming costume and suncream at the top of your case and you will be fine. The hotel was nice enough, spacious rooms and we had a view of the pool. We didn't spend much time there during the day. We have just returned from the janelas do mar apartments on the 26th of september. I have to say you get what you pay for dont expect 5 star accomodation for the budget price you pay.
