What a great hotel, staff fantastic and helpful, especially receptionist Andelina, breakfast just enough and pool bar snack prices amazingly cheap (especially the red wine). we had a week in the Hotel California, Albuferia and found it was a very good base. We found the rooms clean (fresh sheets and towels daily), the staff very friendly and although it was in the middle of all the bars it did not keep us awake. The hotel is in the old part of town, in a narrow street, inaccessible by car, so we had to trundle our luggage right through the narrow streets, when we eventually found a parking space. Just got back from a week at the California and would have to reccomend it to anyone wanting a lively base from which to experience the old town!
