First time in Portugal. There to see daughter dance in Casino Show, so the hotel is ideally placed for that. On sea front so an ocean view is a must have. Great hotel and in September not expensive. The hotel is light, airy, and well appointed. Request a sea facing room with a balcony and it adds that bit more. Excellent dining room with helpful staff and very well prepared food. Not sure how busy it is in high season but was very quiet in September. more
Stayed for one night on a sunday, if staying here you must have a room with a sea view, as to watch the sun go down is superb. Room to a very high standard, and staff friendly. Had a meal in the restaurant, which again was very good, and the waiter very attentive more
Although the hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, the rooms have been recently refurbished and are extremely comfortable. We stayed at the hotel in late July, 2004. Definitely get a room on the ocean side. There is a huge beach right across the street from the hotel. Each room on the ocean side has a private balcony and what could be finer than to watch the sunset over the beach with a bottle of wine and loved ones!... more
