This wonderful small hotel manages to blend the new and the old in perfect harmony. Built from the shell of an old private house (including the remnants of several roman columns embedded in the incredibly thick stone walls) this hotel provides a level of comfort that is first class. The rooms are a good size, stylishly decorated with comfortable beds. The bathrooms are modern and functional with a nice powerful shower. All rooms have underfloor heating so walking on the tiled floor is a pleasure even in the winter months. All rooms have a flatscreen TVs – there are a couple of channels with English language. The location is perfect too. Although Vouzela is only a small place, The Casa Museu is situated in the centre of town and is close to easy parking, which is free. Internet access is available free of charge in the hotel lobby area. Breakfast is a simple affair but the food is tasty and fresh and always replenished.
