This was the first hostel we ever stayed at, and now that our backpacking tour of Europe is done and we've got several hostels to compare to, I have to say that Rossio was one of the best choices. The Rossio hostel affords a birdseye view over Rossio Plaza with the Castelo San Jorge in the distance. Magnificient view! Great walking distance to beautiful neighborhoods and the waterfront. My friends and I stayed at the Rossio Hostel. We had an excellent time there. Everyone was really nice, friendly and helpful, and yes.. they all speak perfect English. Thank you also to Mama Rossio who cooked us nice crepes every morning :) The place is clean, very central, and plenty of hot water. Definitely worth the money and one... more
I stayed at Rossio Plaza hostel with 3 of my friends during May 2008. The hostel was first a little hard to find, although it's located right in the central Lisbon - at the edge of Rossio Plaza.
