Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fabulous chilled hotel. Lovely spacious room. Really good breakfast and lunch options. Great mini bar options provided as complimentary in first night of stay. Delightful roof terrace with good view but quite small so can get full. Staff all really pleasant and helpful. Spa very chilled space - booking required to use pool which we didn’t know before we arrived but still managed to book a couple of sessions at decent times. Treatments were excellent (we had a hot stone massage and a deep tissue massage). Good location. Quiet but very easy to get to everywhere (and just 10 mins walk from the favourite restaurant of our stay Bou Bou). Would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Book pool sessions in advance. Book roof terrace seats if you can ( possible before 5pm I think).

Hotel's Favourite
I had a wonderful one night stay at The Vintage Hotel in Lisbon. It was my first time visiting the city and traveling as a solo female I was a bit apprehensive about where to stay. The Vintage was absolutely perfect. The staff were extremely helpful before I checked in and helped me with arranging my airport transfers in advance of my trip. The room was lovely and spacious with beautifully decorated interior. The toiletries products are all local and I received a lovely complimentary bar of soap, Portuguese tarts and bottle of red wine. The hotel is in a great location to use as a base for walking around Lisbon. The rooftop bar had a lovely atmosphere and breakfast was served in the lower ground restaurant, Blue. I would highly recommend the hotel and would love to stay again on my next visit to Lisbon.

Major let down staying here. I took my daughter for her birthday Told the hotel in advance that it was her 18th When the cake came with no candle or ceremony or anything- it was … anticlimactic to say the least The food was dreadful My tacos were pathetic No flavour in our starter either Deserts were just depressing But the worst part were the facials Both my daughter & I had different “masseuses” & we both said the same - they were both Extremely rough I couldn’t breath several times as she either trapped my airwaves or pressed far too heavily on my chest Clearly no clue of anatomy Zero training & I literally said “make it stop” from the get go & cheap products too Not worth all that money Handing over hundreds of euros for bad food & bad therapy is just not on in a five star hotel

Beautiful room. Very spacious and clean. Perfect beds. Breakfast even better than expected. Very friendly staff. A warm welcome with gin and tonic and almonds. Not too far from good restaurants, shop and many tourist attractions.

AMAZING HOTEL. Do not hesitate to book this place. We’re probably classed as slightly awkward guests as we travelling with an 8 month old baby and we’re vegan! The hotel have been super accommodating from start to finish. The facilities are incredible. Love the mid century decor of the hotel. Gym and Spa are real treats. Breakfast was delicious. Thanks to Jessica and the entire team who went above and beyond every day to make us and our baby feel welcome. The rooms are really classy with plenty of space. Cot for a baby was really good. Front desk really helpful with loads of local knowledge. Hotel situated in what we thought was the nicest area of Lisbon and within minutes walking distance of all the action you’ll need. We certainly hope to be back. Thank you so much for making our stay so special.

We loved all the welcome drinks. Cleaning service was good but they did not replace the sheets during four nights we stayed. The pool is also not heated so if you go during the winter it is cold. We picked the hotel for the location but it was still a 15-30 minute walk to many attractions. We thought the service was good overall and staff were friendly.

A top notch hotel! The breakfast was amazing and our two dinners at Blue were excellent (special thanks to Luis for his recommendations)! The rooftop bar has lovely views and great service as well (shoutout to Milan and Shah). We loved the mid-century aesthetic, thoughtful design, and beautiful color palette as well. 5 stars all around. We’ll definitely be back!

Fantastic hotel with friendly and attentive staff. You get free G&T kit and complimentary water, tea, coffee and beers in the room first night. Lovely cosy rooftop bar. The breakfast buffet is super with fizz if you want it and made to order hot items. Restaurant was better than expected for a hotel one and the waiting staff were excellent. The music has a chilled vibe which I liked. Be aware that the spa and gym are only available by booking and limited to half an hour. I think the spa should be a 45min booking to fully relax and that would be my only gripe. Everywhere very clean and tidy. We had treats each night in the room and on my husband’s birthday they gave us a nice chocolate sponge cake. Quite well situated off Avenida de Liberdade with easy access to the metro there. Would certainly return.

Nice location, super friendly staff all around. Complimentary drinks and snacks, beautiful and spacious room. Good breakfast and dinner. Small gym with what you need though, cozy spa area with pool and two saunas, great massage. Definitely one of the best hotels we've ever been to. Clear recommendation!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - excellent staff, excellent breakfast, nice spa and good location. All rooms are slightly too dark and music is a tad too loud in the lounge to relax. Rooftop bar is good fun, especially for sunsets over Lisbon..
