This comfortable pension is very clean and well run with helpful staff. The location is excellent...on a quiet street but only about a 5 minute walk to the main strip. 10 minute walk to Barrio Alto bars. We stayed in a double room with private bath. First of all, it's a pension, not a hotel. Paying 30 euros for a double room in the very centre of the old district of Lisbon at the weekend in summer when virtually everywhere is full doesn't mean you can expect 5-star luxury. Charming guesthouse with large, high-ceilinged rooms, in a good location (behind the cathedral, making it easy to direct taxi drivers, and on a tram route). Excellent value for money. Very clean. Not all reception staff speak English - afternoons and evenings are better. more
