I should start off by saying that I am used to sleeping in Hostels and regular two star hotels--nothing fancy, but this was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The first room they sent me to was infested with ants, not just a couple, but well over 50. I found them in the shower, by the... more

I chose this hotel based on price and reviews from trip advisor. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It's in the center of Lisbon, and removed from the tourist areas. As stated in previous reviews, a quick 5 minute walk from the hotel is a subway and also several bus lines. We preferred the bus... more

I’ve stayed in Amazonia Lisboa Hotel in May of 2005 for 4 nights. Location: The hotel is located not far away from the center of the Lisbon(meaning from Baixa, old town, areas near the river, etc). It is only 4 stations away using the subway OR about 15 minutes using any of the buses available in that area. From the... more

It was our first trip to Portugal and Lissabon so we searched the net for a good hotel. Among a lot of possibilities we choosed the Amazonia and we never had to regret. We got a very fine double room with a balcony to the backside of the hotel (pool side), and could enjoy the sunshine every morning. The room... more

After reading the review and seeing that the hotel had a 3.5star rating decided to give it a go but was very dissappointed. Hotel reception is very nice and the people working there were very friendly and helpful however, once past reception it is a different story the hotel is very tired shabby and dirty not something that I expected.... more

great Hotel. Location Location. Just out of the main drag but close enough on quiet residential street. Clean, decent size rooms and bath. Real hair dryer. Breakfast was great. Very helpful staff. All tours pick up at hotel. Metro 4 blocks. Bus ,two blocks. Lovely park, one block. Mc Donalds and fine restaurants around the corner. Only negative is a... more

This hotel was definitely a pleasant surprise for my trip to Lisbon. I went there expecting an average 3* hotel. What I got was a hotel that in many ways is better than some 4* hotels I have visited. Where do I start from? First of all, the pictures I saw online do not do it justice. It is very... more

We were very pleased with the quality of the hotel given the price range. The lobby was very attractive, and the rooms were good size by European standards. The entire hotel was kept neat and clean. It is also close to 2 Metro stops and numerous bus stops. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a good selection of foods. The... more

I basically booked this hotel blind at the last minute and struck lucky with price, standard and location. An easy and direct bus ride from the airport, near to a main metro hub and near to good bus routes the hotel was in a good location. A tip though; if you have heavy bags take a cab as the hotel... more
