I would not recommend the Hotel Astoria (also known as the Hotel Evidencia Astoria or the Lisboa Astoria Hotel). First of all, their website (Evidencia hotels) shows sleek, modern rooms. I booked a room at the end of August, gave my credit card details and received their confirmation. When I got there a rude girl told me I had no reservation, I show her their mail. She didn't apologise or try to help me. She told me they had another room or that I could just walk away... more

Ola, It's the same comment as the first one : noisy but clean. Lot of students. Elementary breakfast. No problem with water. Next to the centre and subways, and bus to the airport. three days. I wiil recommend too pay a little more for alternative accomodation. But for two nights, why pay more..... more

Stayed here for 5 nights November 04. Not sure where to start...if you enjoyed living in halls of residence during university years this is probably a good place to stay. We found it quite noisy - not neccessarily from the guests but street and traffic noise. Good points: clean bed linen, and bath/hand towels changed daily, and bathrooms cleaned daily.... more
